"Scorch Off towards the Utopia" is the first single from the Hualun Band's brand new original album, Tempus. It unfolds like a curtain between heaven and earth, gradually and gracefully. The brief guitar notes intertwine with the rhythm, reminiscent of sunlight filtering through the foliage, casting a gentle and dreamlike morning glow. The euphoric sustained synthesizer creates a mesmerizing warmth, harmonizing with the steady beat and algorithmically enhanced visuals. These ever-changing sounds and visuals collectively create an abstract spacetime—a page of history rediscovered by Hualun, intricately linked to their origins and reflecting the future world. In this realm, evolution no longer necessarily means upward or forward; breathing is no longer governed by technology and systems but reverts to a simple, liberating motion. Each heartbeat becomes a renewed experience, reaffirming the essence of life. Combining partially realistic visuals, Huang Yihong employs AI to recognize colors and shapes in images, triggering secondary synthesis and frame-by-frame creation of "ever-changing yet discontinuous limbs," emphasizing the overlay and transformation of parallel spacetimes. Just like the band's boundless exploration of music, the director extends the concept of "utopia" to represent an ongoing quest without a clear endpoint. The music video conveys a process rather than causality, and this process is intimately connected to an internal, liberated, and primal state. The collaboration between Director Huang Yihong and the Hualun Band undoubtedly yields a fluid beauty in the fusion of sound and imagery, defying any fixed point between history and the future. - Bie Records
